The JumpStart Program (JSP) provides New Ground’s intensive services to homeless families in Nassau and Suffolk Counties. JSP families are actively homeless, temporarily residing in homeless shelters, local motels, doubled up with others, or in locations that are not meant for human habitation. Families meet with a New Ground Social Worker weekly to outline self-defined goals and then take all the necessary steps to complete these and achieve permanent, stable housing. JSP families participate in all New Ground’s Service Programs to reach self-sufficiency.
