Thank You Holiday Helpers!

147 children & adults from 44 households received new coats and boots, toys and gift cards, holiday decorations, meals, and more this Holiday Season!

With many holidays throughout the year, there is so much to celebrate. But for most homeless families, these also cause financial stress which has a negative impact. At New Ground, we remove that burden with the help of generous supporters like you. Many thanks to all those who participated in our Special Memories Service Program by adopting families and Veterans during the winter Holiday Season, as well as supporting them throughout the year. The recent winter holidays became a special time for even more of our neighbors most in need, with New Ground providing greater levels of support than ever before!

Sharing the love with the Odierno Law Firm.

Scott and Lee Odierno and their team conducted a Valentine’s Day SHARE THE LOVE household supply drive to support New Ground’s Veterans. With the current state of the economy, these essential items are more expensive than ever, heavily impacting our Veteran’s tight budgets.

Local students ensure their peers don’t go hungry during school break.

The Island Trees High School Key Club hosted a huge food drive to benefit New Ground’s children. These items came just in time to help our families manage the April school vacation without breaking their budgets. When students are out of school, not having free breakfast and lunch programs seriously affect our families from making ends meet.

Networking for good.

Ahmed Ahmed, owner of Lotus Fitness, hosted a Love You a Latte event at a local Starbucks where he collected paper towel and toilet paper donations for homeless Veterans while spreading the important work of New Ground!

Spring into Easter!

The Gaughran Family provided Easter baskets filled with goodies to the children in our Reading Program that celebrate this special holiday. Homeless children often miss these small festivities because their parents simply cannot afford to celebrate.
